What You'll Need

Step 1: Create a Telos Account

Visit telos.kentaursoft.com/sign-up and create a free account. You can start with paper trading (simulated) — no exchange connection required to explore the platform.

Step 2: Generate API Keys on Your Exchange

Each exchange has its own API settings page. Here's where to find it:

  • Binance: Profile → API Management → Create API
  • Bybit: Account & Security → API → Create New Key
  • OKX: Profile → API → Create API Key
  • Bitget: User Center → API → Create API Key

Critical Security Settings

When creating your API keys, make sure to:

  • ✅ Enable Spot & Futures Trading permissions
  • ❌ DISABLE withdrawal permissions (Telos never needs to withdraw funds)
  • ✅ Enable IP whitelisting and add Telos's IP addresses from the Settings page
  • ✅ Set a descriptive label like "Telos Trading Bot"

Step 3: Connect to Telos

In your Telos dashboard, navigate to Settings → Exchange Connections → Add Exchange. Paste your API Key and Secret, then click "Test Connection." You should see a green "Connected" status within 2 seconds.

Step 4: Configure Your AI Departments

Go to Settings → AI Configuration. We recommend starting with all 6 departments enabled — the consensus system works best when all perspectives are represented. Set your risk level to "Balanced" for your first trades.

Step 5: Start Paper Trading

Switch to Paper Trading mode and let the AI run for at least 48 hours. You'll see real signals generated against live market data, but no actual trades are executed. This lets you validate the system's performance before going live. Once you're ready, choose a plan that fits your needs.

Troubleshooting

  • "Connection Failed" — Double-check that API key permissions include trading but exclude withdrawals. Make sure IP whitelisting is configured correctly.
  • "Insufficient Balance" — Some exchanges require a minimum balance for futures trading. Deposit funds or switch to spot trading.
  • "Rate Limited" — This is temporary. Telos automatically handles rate limiting with exponential backoff.
